To highlight the campaign for clean air, a bicycle tour has celebrated Earth Day since 1998. Called the Tour of the Fireflies, it is an annual 50-kilometer bicycle ride around seven cities of Metro Manila to promote cycling as an alternative means of transportation that is cheap, efficient, environmentally sensible, and good for one’s health.
